WOOL . NATURE . SHEPHERDESS
'This we know. The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth. All things are connected. We do not weave the web of life; we are only a strand of it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves'.
- CHIEF SEATTLE
My ethos is simple. I own a small flock of primitive, rare breed sheep to preserve their heritage breed, produce slow reared, purely grass fed, superior quality Hogget. To utilise their grazing habits to manage, fertilise and improve grassland habitats. Increasing the diversity of flora and wild herbs in turns supports a myriad of wildlife, insects, small mammals and birds. I then hand shear and use the sustainable fleece to make wool rugs. Also Hand tanning their hides naturally and organically to make beautiful sheepskin to honour their sacrifice.
